Runuiná Yawanawá
Runuiná carries in his name the secret of the great healing beings of the forest. He is the grandson of the great leader Raimundo Luiz Tuimkuru and the son of Vesku Yawanawá and Antonio Apurinã, two important leaders of the Indigenous movement.
For more than ten years, he has been a student of Pajé Maná, learning prayers, chants, and traditional healing arts from him. His aunt Putanny and Biraci Nixiwaká have also taught him in the Aldeia Sagrada
(Sacred Village). Runuiná is a very talented musician with a unique voice. He composes his own songs by transferring the traditional Saitis of Pajé Maná – originally recited exclusively with the voice – with the guitar
